These Terms and Conditions describe use of alignestimating.com and the estimating services offered by Align Estimating LLC (“Align,” “we,” or “us”). Questions may be sent to info@alignestimating.com.
Submitting an inquiry does not order a paid service, authorize work or guarantee project acceptance. Before work starts, Align and the contractor will confirm the service scope, documentation, fees, payment terms and expected timing in a written service agreement. That agreement controls project-specific terms where they differ from this website summary.
Estimate Writing includes reviewing contractor-supplied documentation, preparing an estimate in Xactimate®, providing it for contractor review and delivering the finalized estimate. When Claim Support is agreed, Align may submit the contractor-approved estimate, respond to carrier questions about documented price and scope, and make supported revisions.
Services do not include restoration work, construction supervision, subcontractor management, homeowner billing or collection, legal or financial advice, or coverage-dispute representation. A remote estimate does not include a site inspection. Any separately agreed service must be within the activities and authorization permitted for the project.
The contractor provides accurate, complete project information and must have authority to share homeowner and claim information. Align relies on that documentation and does not independently verify site conditions through a remote estimate. The contractor reviews the scope, quantities and project facts before approving the estimate and retains control of construction decisions and work performance.
Any estimate-preparation timeframe depends on receiving the required documentation and service instructions. Confirm the project schedule directly with Align. Carrier review, coverage decisions and claim timing are outside Align’s control. No estimate or service guarantees approval, payment, a particular amount or a claim-resolution date.
Estimate Writing: the greater of 1.25% of the final estimated dollar amount or $125 per estimate. The remaining balance is due within 30 days after Align returns the estimate to the contractor.
Claim Support: 5% of the approved total, including estimate writing. The remaining balance is due within 30 days after agreement with the insurer, rather than after insurer payment.
A $125 upfront start payment is required. The written service agreement must confirm how that payment is applied and how the remaining balance is calculated before work begins.
Estimate Writing includes one set of revisions. Further revision sets are treated as a separate job and new estimate. Claim Support includes unlimited revisions until the claim is approved or an agreement is reached with the insurer.
Provide supporting records when the scope or project information changes. Align and the contractor must confirm a change in service scope and any related charge before additional paid work is authorized.
Request and review the written cancellation and refund terms before starting. Any amount owed depends on the agreed service terms and the stage of work.
Project estimates are intended for the agreed project, contractor review and permitted submission. Website text, branding and images may not be copied or reused without permission or another lawful basis. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their owners. Use of Xactimate® does not imply insurer or software-vendor endorsement.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Provide only information needed for the inquiry or agreed work, and use the document-transfer method confirmed by Align. The general contact form is not a job-file upload portal.
The current website terms display their effective date. Changes to an accepted project agreement follow the process stated in that agreement; a website update alone does not rewrite an existing engagement. For questions or service concerns, contact info@alignestimating.com.
