Practical answers about working with Align Estimating, preparing your documentation, and choosing the right level of support. Contact Align if your project needs a more specific answer.
Start with project photos, room scans or a floor-plan sketch, measurements, and relevant claim details. For mitigation, include drying logs and work records; specialty bids can also help. Align will confirm any missing information for your project.
With Estimate Writing, you receive a finalized estimate after your team’s review and handle carrier communication yourself. Claim Support continues after your approval with carrier communication and revisions supported by the project documentation.
Mike prepares the estimate from your job documentation and sends a draft to your team. You review the project details and give the go-ahead before it is finalized or sent to the carrier with Claim Support.
Estimate Writing costs the greater of 1.25% of the final estimated dollar amount or $125 per estimate. Claim Support costs 5% of the approved total and includes estimate writing.
A $125 upfront start payment is required. The Estimate Writing balance is due within 30 days after Align returns the estimate to your company; the Claim Support balance is due within 30 days after agreement with the insurer, rather than after insurer payment.
Estimate preparation depends on receiving the required documentation and knowing which service you need. Missing or unclear information may need to be resolved first, so confirm timing for your project directly with Align. Carrier review is a separate step.
Align is designed for restoration contractors, from smaller companies without a dedicated estimator to larger firms that need added capacity during busy periods. Confirm project and location fit directly with Align.
The core service is built around restoration contractors as the client. Homeowners may receive relevant updates during Claim Support, but the contractor hires Align and directs the estimating work. Contact Align to discuss any request outside that service model.
Align prepares both mitigation estimates and repair or reconstruction estimates. The documented scope determines what is included. Ask Align about contents, pack-out, cleaning, or specialty estimating needs before starting.
Align prepares restoration estimates in Xactimate® using the project information supplied by your team.
With Claim Support, Align can submit the contractor-approved estimate, respond to questions about the documented scope, and make supported revisions. Confirm the scope of support for your project directly with Align.
With Claim Support, Align can include the homeowner in relevant communication about estimate and claim progress. Your restoration company remains Align’s client.
No. Carrier decisions and timing depend on the project, documentation, and coverage. Align does not guarantee approval, payment, a settlement amount, or a claim-resolution date.
The core estimating workflow is remote and uses contractor-provided documentation. It does not include performing restoration work or managing subcontractors. Discuss any need for a site visit before engaging Align; no site visit should be assumed to be included.
Let Align know what has changed and provide the supporting records. Estimate Writing includes one set of revisions; further revision sets are treated as a separate job and new estimate. Claim Support includes unlimited revisions until the claim is approved or agreement is reached with the insurer.
Contact Align to ask whether an appropriate sample is available.
Request the current written cancellation and refund terms before starting. Any amount owed depends on the agreed service terms and the stage of work.
